Employee Dependent’s Tuition Scholarship
Dependents of NC State University employees are now eligible to receive an annual scholarship to the university, thanks to a new fund seeded by a gift from Chancellor Randy Woodson and his wife, Susan. The Woodsons made a $1.15 million gift toward the effort. The donation, along with other private funds, helped launch the NC State Employee Dependent’s Tuition Scholarship which began in the 2016 fall semester.
The NC State Employee Dependent’s Scholarship may award up to $2,000 for a maximum of eight semesters (Fall and Spring). It is intended to benefit qualifying dependents of NC State faculty or staff who have been employed full time for three years or more. Students must also be enrolled as full-time, degree-seeking, undergraduates in their first-degree program at NC State. Students must apply annually by the established deadline for consideration and parent employment must be verified by Human Resources. The scholarship is being funded through ongoing university and private support. The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid is responsible for the scholarship’s administration.
