Prior to COVID-19, NC State EFNEP had been leading the nation in piloting online lesson delivery for low-income families who had difficulty attending face-to-face classes. Under Megan Halbohm’s direction, six lessons were developed in English and in Spanish using Moodle and eXtension. Six universities participated in the pilot. With the onset of COVID-19, our initial work became even more elevated. In the spirit of sharing resources to help all families in need, Megan offered a training to any universities interested in implementing the online lessons. Fifteen additional universities are now partnering with us to utilize the online lessons. Megan is providing technical support for our team in NC plus these 21 universities. This is definitely above and beyond!
