Walk Around Lake Raleigh

Cut into the southern side of Centennial Campus and surrounded by a protected forest, Lake Raleigh offers a picturesque retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Open to the public, this 75-acre lake features a fishing pier and boat ramp for non-motorized watercraft, such as kayaks and canoes. Fish in the lake include largemouth bass and catfish.

The walking trail and greenway meanders right down the heart of Centennial Campus. This paved walkway hugs the restored North Creek watershed, which includes revegetation of native species and better runoff control. Eventually, the trails on campus will connect to the City of Raleigh’s greenway system. In addition, Centennial Campus also has a 3-mile exercise course, complete with “stations” offering a variety of equipment and challenges.
